Fast paced, witty, well written

From the first word through the last, this was a great read. I've since read the whole series to include the books focused on two of the characters (WHERE ARE THE REST? PLEASE!) and it was a fast paced, LOL at times, "Oh dang" at times, read from beginning to end. Character depth was just enough, story plots were deep enough without going too deep, the journey of the main protagonist as the unwitting hero was well done. The diversity, backgrounds, and unity of the cast of characters on the side of "good" (sort of since there were some good who weren't really so good :) )was a great balance to how much I disliked "the bad guys". Jonathan has gained a new fan and my only gripe, as with any great series, is that I want more.

Great character developed in the intro book. Completely dragged me into the series.

I just finished all of the "Forsaken Mercenary" series. It was worth every penny of what I paid for it as well as the dozens of hours spent reading the series. Not because of any redeeming social value (it doesn't have any) but because I really needed a break from entertainment that was pushing some agenda. This is pure escapism which I think was Yanez's original intention. Thank you for delivering on that promise.
